These terms apply when you use FoodCode: the iPhone app, the web app at app.foodcodebuddy.com and this website. By using FoodCode, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use FoodCode.

FoodCode is an independent app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the State of Ohio, the Ohio Department of Health, the Ohio Department of Agriculture, or any local health district.
FoodCode is provided as is, for reference only, with no guarantee that it is complete, correct, or current. It is not legal advice and does not replace guidance from your local health district or inspector.
Rules change, and FoodCode may lag behind. Check the effective date on each chapter. If FoodCode differs from the official text, the official text is what counts.
Your local health district may have additional requirements. Don't rely on FoodCode alone for compliance or enforcement decisions.
Source of the rules
Rule text comes from the Ohio Administrative Code and the Ohio Revised Code, published by the Ohio Legislative Service Commission at codes.ohio.gov. Formatting and search are provided by FoodCode. Visit codes.ohio.gov.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for what happens under your account. Give accurate information when you sign up, and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.
Your content
The tags, notes and tag groups you create are yours. You let us store, sync and display them so that FoodCode can work for you and, for an organization's groups, for its members. Tag groups you create in an organization belong to that organization. Don't put anything in FoodCode that you don't have the right to share, and don't use it to store confidential inspection records or personal information about other people.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- try to break, overload or get around the security of FoodCode or its servers;
- scrape or copy FoodCode in bulk, or resell access to it;
- use FoodCode to break the law or to harm anyone.
We may suspend or close an account that does these things.
Beta software
Parts of FoodCode, including the iPhone app on TestFlight, are in beta. Beta software can have bugs, can change without notice, and may lose data. Feedback you send us may be used to improve FoodCode, with no obligation to you.
No warranty
FoodCode is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty that it is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, FoodCode and the people who make it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss that results from relying on FoodCode instead of the official text. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Ending your use
You can stop using FoodCode and delete your account at any time. We may stop offering FoodCode, or part of it, at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and if a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app. Using FoodCode after a change means you accept the new terms.
